Wonky Boot Hot on the heels of the bonnet/wheel arch gap problem, we have today noticed that the left side of the boot fits very tightly to the body of the car, whilst there is a considerably larger gap between the right hand side of the boot and the body of the car... I guess my questions are: 1) Can the alignment/closure of the boot be adjusted by the dealer without too much trouble? Apart from the aesthetics of it, I'm a bit concerned about what happens when it next rains heavily. (Will be getting in touch with the dealer first thing) 2) Does anyone else have a misaligned boot? Thanks again!

Well.. there's been the delays, the damaged headlight, the damaged wheel arch trim, the ubiquitous bonnet gap/misalignment issue, the un-blanked hole in the boot, the wrong interior trim (fluid silver instead of brushed alloy), and now the wonky boot -- but it's still a great car! Good plan re: what to tell the dealer - and I'll post up some pics in daylight tomorrow. Would be interested to know if the dealer will actually be able to adjust the boot or whether it's fixed into position as soon as the car is assembled and painted Thanks!

Update - not had a chance to take any pics so far, but car is booked in for Thurs so I'll take some before and after shots and upload them. Dealer reckons the glass in the boot has been fitted too far to the left. They'll be trying to adjust it but reckon there's a good chance it'll break and they'll have to fit some new glass. Either way they're being very helpful, so that's good.

Another update - have taken some 'before' pics, but have had no opportunity to take 'after' pics as the car has been with the dealer since 8.30 am last Thursday ![]() Wonder if I'll get it back today or any time soon...

The thing that really annoys me with problems like this is, why do they not pick up these obvious flaws in the first place during Pre delivery?? The dealers are obviously quite happy for the cars to go out with wonky bonnets and boots and hope that it's not noticed by the customer HBB MCS
