Yes they come on if you switch the interior light on.
It has been known for certain people to drive around with them on

Hmm have you considered putting a relay on the trigger wire for the door handle led that is only active when the central locking is unlocked (my car is set to auto lock on drive off), i am assuming the mini uses a typical 5 wire style system for central locking? I wouldnt mind having a play with this on my car but if you have already rulled it out i might save some time .

Hey man, the led handles look **** hot, Ive had problems sourcing the correct handle light kits, ive got quite a distinct silk green 2000 plate cooper. ive only seen one other in this colour so far, i love it. anyway ive been modding it bit by bit. new lights, skirts wheels etc, but i reallly want to get these handle lights. I have a friend who is an electrical engineer for the royal navy, so hes promised to have a play with it,

Any idea where i can find the correct led kit? and if they can be fitted to a 2000 model
