I started getting cold feet about SS and considered changing to DS which was my original choice. I'm glad I stuck with it - it's a little different and is complemented well with the black roof and trim.

For me the colour looks a bit "thin" in bright sunlight, however in half light in the early evening (in my opinion) it looks fantastic.

Resale?........ It's a company car

Thanks KillerByte, I'm really pleased with it.

1000 miles in now and no real problems (fingers crossed).

It's a lovely colour, needs to be clean like the MINI pictured, I didn't like the colour at first, this partly because the dealership Demo was filthy, but looks lovely clean, very sparkly

Don't get me wrong, they work well... but definately not best. How would we know, since it's the ONLY combo MINI has crammed down our consumer throats?

The Pepper White and Astro Black might even be better then that. The blues and BRG might be OK, too. But how would we know? It's definately a color you have to see in the car to appreciate.

Since SS/Redwood alsoTHE MINI spec'ed combo... it's already common as mud. Check out MINI Cherished site. EVERY redwood red car is in Sparkling Silver. I liked the fact that it was unlikely I would come across another car just like mine. That's part of making your MINI You-nique, right?

I like the sparkling silver, but for my car I prefer the more eye catching colors. I love everything about my GP except the color.

Yes and the red mirrors help. But I love yellow cars.

Sparkling Silver... ahh, What a underrated colour..
Time and time again, the rule of thumb for the SS, is that you have to see it in the flesh to truely see its beauty. Pictures just don't do it enough justice!!

p/s: I changed my order from PW to SS

You sure you're not scoring a $50 note for each SS ordered????
