BRG / Pepper White / Lightning Blue / Astro Black . Can't decide which color to order

Hi,

I will order my first Mini soon and I'm terribly doubting betweeen some colors for a Dooper:

Inside, I will choose English Oak, a wooden steering wheel, satnav, probably cosmos black cloth (or maybe leather, but I don't like the leather/cloth-combination seats), ... And I like the additional driving lamps on the grille. But the exterior: which color...?


- I like British racing green with white roof and bonnet stripes: would it look better with beige leather, instead of cosmos black cloth?

- I also like Pepper White with (black) bonnet stripes: but would white still look fabulous within a few years (let's say 8 years)?

- Lightning blue is also great with white roof and bonnet stripes: but would it fit with English Oak and a wooden steering wheel?

- Astro Black with a white roof isn't bad eather...


Has anyone some advise or opinion (or pics in these configurations)?


And I'm so happy: where I live, in Belgium, the government gives a 15% discount on the Cooper D with manual gearbox, since August 2007!!! For its low CO2 emissions (104 g, the same as a Prius).

I agree...if your main priorities are the wooden interior bits,
then I think BRG is the most classic colour option here
which would well suit wood details.

With lightning blue...probably would go more w/traditional black
bit inside.

As far as which seats? First decision should be based
on what material you prefer, as far as comfort goes.
Where I live, cloth stays nice & cool in summers & saving the
dollars too, a plus!

However, you may have different choices/priorities there.
I need to look into the leather you mention to see if it's changed much
but I think that too would look nice (lighter interior) w/a dark car like BRG is.
BUT...if it's VERY light, iy might be hard keeping the leather fresh-looking.

All your colour choices are very nice & classic, so you can't go wrong!
I too had a TERRIBLE time choosing 2 yrs ago when I ordered one.
Took a lot out of me even! (I was just sooo torn)

I was between Pepper White, Hyper Blue
Electric Blue or BEP/Purple Haze Was really tough to decide!
Good luck & don't let it take the fun out of it, for you, like it almost did for me!

Bblos wellcome to mini2 your problem is all to coman on this site we changed a few times, i have to say never liked the white but after seing a few with the kit they have grown on me a lot, as for in a few years this is difficult to tell , and was one of the reasons we did not go for Laser blue love it as i did the last light blue but after few years of seing the last light blue went of it so Chilli red for me and White roof and stripes. So Lighting Blue for me but don't think the wood choice would be good with that colour. Not a fan of BRG i must say but then it wood suit the interior and wood you require and it could be it may grow on me as you don't see enough to get a good look. My doubt is now between Astro Black and BRG... Inside, I will choose leather, but not the OEM leather. At a dealer in Belgium (near Ghent), I have seen the most fabulous leather seats I have ever seen for a Mini! It's an interior trim, with choices between many leather (nappa) and alcanthara colors (or a combination of these two). The price is the same as the OEM gravitiy leather (if only the seats are done, without the roof lining, dash or door panels)! Actually, the seats would then almost look like these in the Wagon / Woody Mini's from Castagna in Milan (castagnamilano.com or w ww.classicdriver.com/upload/images/_de/2183/img04pop.jpg for a picture of such seats). In that way, I can choose from leather colors that would fit perfectly with the exterior.

I scrapped the Pepper White. Actually, the Mini looks really good in this color (I would have to buy a white car, a surely would buy the Mini!). But after thinking a while, it's not a color I would buy myself.

I also scrapped the Lightning Blue. It's a great color. But it doesn't match with the English Oak panels and I would like to have it darker to have a classic look... So: blue is nice, but lighning blue isn't classic enough.

I agree...

This is mine; I'm cheap and have the leatherette seats but the beige or Redwood would be the dog's dangly bits..

If going BRG, I think the beige interior would go really well. I have a DC2 Integra with this combination and love it.

I really like the Astro Black though...looks gorgeous though it's a pain to keep clean (or so I hear). AB/W was my second choice after the classic CR/W.
