R56 Cooper S Works Exhaust Trim

Hi. I have a R56 Cooper with a full JCW Body Kit on it and wanted to see if the WORKS COOPER S exhaust tip/trim (shiney bit with JOHN COOPER WORKS embroded on it) will fit my exhaust as it will really finish off the look of my car to be a TRUE COOPER WORKS.

I have a JCW COOPER S CHASIS number i can use to order the exhaust tips so thts not a problem just want to know if they are a straight swap or if i have to modify them.

Has anyone tried this?

Thanks. Joe.

When you say the trim, I persume you mean the lower bumper trim on the aero kit, if so then yes the cooper S trim will fit perfectly, but you will need to remove the bumper in order to get it to fit, heres the part number 51120404117 and the last time I checked I think its around £90 + VAT and painting. I am considering doing this on my cooper aswell so would be interested in some feedback if you go ahead with the mod

having re-read you post I think you may mean the exhaust trim??? I wouldnt be sure about this, but I enquired about buying the exhaust tips to fit them to a standard R56 S exhaust and you cannot order the parts seperatly without a JCW Chassis Number and a good reason why you need a set!!!! MINI are extremely strict about this.

Hi i have a cooper s works chasis number that my dealer gave me to order the parts as i am a good costomer of thiers they helped me out a bit so thats not an issue. Its more the fitment.

And you were right the second time its the exhaust tip/trim i am enquiring about not the rear bumper valance.

If you want to order trims for your cooper s i can get them for you as i said my mini parts dep are great and help me out an awful lot.

Thumbs up

if you have an R56 S then you need the ones for an R56 S. I can get you some if you need me to as im friends with my MINI parts Dep Manager so don't get fussed for not having a Chasis number for a JCW COOPER S as they are very strict. They are on back order till next week. They are £35.00 per tip and of course with an S you'll need 2 plus shipping which wont be alot about £5.00 but ill be happy to get you some.

Let me know if you are interested.

Hi unfortunately i do not know the part numbers. I merely ask my freind jeff to get them for me and he does the rest. I do not know if they will fit the standard S exhaust but im sure like the older model if they do not only a small amount of modding should do the trick.

Is there any chance you can ask your friend Jeff for the part numbers I too have a mate who works with BMW Parts, we have been trying since the JCW Kit was launched to get the exhaust tips but to no avail

can ask him but will take alot less time to just order them as i can send an parts email request as i have an account with them rather than having to send through on thier normal email address and waiting on a reply. Ill try to find out for you. Can your friend from BMW not tell you either? Even being friends with someone at BMW doesn't get you part numbers, its well wierd.

Hi i have just spoken to my friend and he has said that he will get me the part numbers by the end of the day. And that the Tips need to be filed down to fit the standard S exhaust as the JCW exhaust has smaller diametre to the standard S.

But they will fit with slight modification. Like i said if anyone needs them i can get them, if we buy enough maybe they will sell them at a lower cost.

Group Buy!

Hi the COOPER and COOPER S exhaust pipes are more or less the same diameter so should also fit with little modification.

I have mine on order at the moment so should have it by next week due to the back order so will know pretty soon, only drawback is i don't know when ill find time to even test fit it as at the moment im swamped with work.
