The Joey Mod

Ok....so i'm finally gonna give it a shot. Will be attempting the joey mod this weekend first with a trial headlight if it arrives on time and then hopefully with my own. Supposedly its just a bit nerve recking not insanely hard so I thought il give it a shot. Il post some pictures up if I get it done but in the mean time if anyone in the UK has done it to their mini please get in touch!!!

I luckily found a spare headlight on ebay so will try it on that first. I'm gonna bake the headlight in the oven at around 93 degrees for six minutes then pry off the cover and just spray all except the reflectors, just gonna cover in painters tape to make sure nothing runs not too sure weather im gonna prime before paint, from what ive seen no one has they have just roughed up the rings and other plastic chrome bits with steel wool to make it stick to the paint. Thats just a rough outline, if it all goes well Il post up some pictures and exactly how I did it.

My other complecation is it's a Xenon too, I hear they're more difficult!!!

Just to let you know, Ive done the mod! Looks brilliant, will post some pictures up soon. In terms of difficulty I would definitely say its not easy, a lot of small difficulties along the way. However was definitely worth it, saying that i'm gonna stick em up for sale as I think ive just sourced out a set of xenons!
