Panoramic Sunroof?

Hi,
What's the panoramic sunroof like?
Wondering whether it's windy when it's open? And if the sun comes in much?
Can't really find many pictures from inside of the car on google,

nice at slow speeds,but unbelievably noisy above 30mph
had one on my old coopers,but didnt spec on my new latest cooper s because i hardly ever drove anywhere with it fully open because of the wind noise

I got my Mini Cooper S yesterday and that has a panormaic roof, if the weather is good tomorrow me and the missus will be going for a blast in the countryside, I will open it up and let you know.

Thanks, I've had a convertible and a hatchback but can't get another convertible so thought the sunroof might be the next best thing? I want a Cooper D soho in the white silver, seen a couple with the panoramic roof but don't know if theres any point in getting one with it really

Why not ask the dealer to take you out in a demo car or used car on forcourt.They should have one somewhere with a panoramic roof and make up your own mind.I currently have a z4 as well as the cooper s and the noise with the roof down is nothing to compared with mini with panoramic roof open,you can feel the pressure on your ears in the mini

I've got the panoramic sunroof on my mini and I wouldn't be without it! Even when it's closed it really brightens up the interior and it's great being able to see the sky (or surroundings) through the roof. With it open & the windows down its not far off the feeling of a convertible. It is quite noisy at high speeds (like on a motorway) but on other roads it's not too bad.

Hi, I've got some pics of mine

I quite like the sunroof, only used it a handful of times since I bought the car in August.. didn't want to even try and open it in the freezing whether as it gets all iced up :/ Sometimes just pulling the shade back is nice though, just to let a bit of light in. If I was to buy a new mini now, I wouldn't go out of my way to find one with a sunroof, but if there was one in my budget with one, it would give it an edge. Hope that's good enough advice!

I love it for all the reasons mentioned above. And I don't think it's noisy, not sure if those complaining have experience with other sunroofs or convertibles. I had a Citroen Pluriel once... (I try to forget) and that was horrible.

I put a monochrome jack on which looks really cool from the inside, too, albeit reducing the light slightly.

MR2 convertable,3 Series convertable.3x Z4 convertables + Mini cooper s with panoramic sunroof,would never have another mini with sunroof as at speed it is too noisy

I have had my MINI for 2 years and ordered it with the sunroof.
I do like it, I use it most days but yes at higher speeds it can be noisy.

Out of interest I fitted the Union Jack (sunroof) roof sticker a few weeks ago.

And I can still see the light

So can I. I have the black jack. But you can't deny that it is slightly restricted. I think it looks fab though.

EDIT: just realised your's is fully covered!

The black jack only has the white and silver elements, the rest remains glass. So I do get a lot more light and visibility.

Its really bright here though, so it acts as a nice bit of shade!

Do you have any pics of yours with the Black Jack please, I would like to see as I thought about that for next time.
