Auxiliary lights

Sort of a follow on to my query on adaptive headlights......

Has anyone fitted the additional lights & are they worth it? I.e. do they give you much (any?) more light.

I'd really like a LOT more light but I somehow think that a bonnet pod like the rally guys might be a bit of overkill.
