Chrome side repeater indicators - R50 to R55?

Hi, I am looking for some chrome 'jewel' side repeat indicators for my R56.

As Im a newbie this forum wont let me post a URL link but you can cut and paste this for an example:

amber-performance.co.uk/section.php?xSec=4649&xPage=1]Side Repeaters - Mini - BMW - - Amber Performance

However all the ones Ive found online state R50 series only.

So I have 2 questions:

1) Will R50 side repeats fit an R55 or are they different size/shape/fixing? I know the side scuttle vent shape is different so that may explain it.

2) Anyone found a source (preferebaly in UK/Europe) for R55 series chrome (not just clear) side repeats?

Thanks

Hi, thanks for the links but these places just have the standard clear lenses. The jewel effect is where the lens is see through so the chrome reflector shows through. The standard clear lenses have a mottled and opaque effect.

Any ideas anyone?

Will r50 units fit r55 scuttles?

Just get W5W LED in amber colour and make sure they are compatible with CANBUS, loads of them on e-bay.

OK well after much research and a bit of luck, a new aftermarket supplier has launched chrome side repeats for R55>. They are LED type and look pretty neat, but IMO, are staggeringly expensive for what they are especially when I could get R50 types (non LED) for a mere 6 quid.

On the plus side, they arrived, without a duty bill from the post office, fitment went OK, and they work.

I changed the side scuttles to genuine JCW chrome type at the same time - I like a bit of bling.

From my experience I wouldnt want to put aftermarket lamps on an aftermarket scuttle as the tolerance stack up would give you a 50/50 chance of the damn thing fitting without hours of fettling...

Anyway heres some pics of the before and after and theyre on ebay (sorry no URL - Im a newbie so Im not allowed to post them...)

I suppose they do look a lot better than standard anyway and make the car look like its been cleaned too, added bonus.
