Hello,
Looking at getting the Blackjack full size roof decal priced at 115 pounds inc vat which isn t too bad, however mini dorchester said that they don t fit it themselves and they get someone else to do it,on ringing them the price for fitting is another 115 pounds inc vat which i find a bit steep to say the least as fitting is 1 hour max.
Anybody know how easy/hard it is to apply DIY with someone else helping ?
Any advice would be very welcome,
Fitting a decals is a fairly easy job for a beginner however a roof decal is something else, for a good result I'd have a pro fit it.. However a £115 does and in my experience seem very high for such a job...I had my whole Porsche done in Martini racing colour for that... All be it strips was a lot bigger job...
I could be wrong, but it looks like they are using a sharp blade to cut the plastic and in doing so they are cutting into the paint work! They also appear to be removing bubbles with a sharp blade also!
Just had my roof done with the BLACKJACK roof decal, very happy, looks fantastic!!
Instead of paying 115 from mini dorchester for the decal and they quoted another 115 quid for fitting i decided to buy a decal off ebay from graphic_mania.
Exactly the same decal design as on the mini accessories site but for 25 quid and then got it fitted through PRIMOTINT near Bournemouth for 50 quid, saved a fortune!!!
