Taken the plunge (D to P) Aero Grille On!

After 5 years with One D's I have decided the extra cost now to switch to a dooper is not economical so I have just ordered a prebuilt One which fit my basic spec perfectly. Hope to get it in about 10-14 days and will post pics ASAP.

58 reg MINI One bulit Nov.
Pepper pack
White vipers

Will try and put the new & old together for a photo before I swap them over!

Definately won't miss the diesel sound! Always chilli red for me as change the car through mileage and want to keep same colour scheme whenever I change.

Pics as soon as collected, never get over the exitement of getting a new MINI!

Chilli red - The best colour, and seems very popular with r56 ones on here (me included)
White stripes are unusual though so thats cool!

Went for that design with my first MINI to stand out a bit as I use it for work and stuck with it ever since, don't see many around but big waves when I do! It's costly and hard to do yourself so I think that puts people off.

Nice welcome to the club! Alike Alex I also have a Chili red One, and retained the red roof unlike some people !! You'll love it, waiting for photo's now! Are you a modder as such, or will it stay as it comes?

It's a Mini Adventure.

Can't mod too much as I use it for work as a driving instructor but may be more tempted to with the petrol version. Would mainly be cosmetic at first though.

Have to say when I took one for a spin I was really surpised how well it went, felt more like my wifes old r53 cooper in terms of performance. Compared with the 1st gen I have to say it felt much better through the revs and quicker than I expected. And of course as chuckable as ever!

Can't wait now....

Car arrived at dealers today!! If stripes, tax, dual controls can be sorted I may be able to pick it up Friday afternoon. Then get as many miles on it as possible Sat & Sunday before work again Monday!

Driving out the showroom in your new car is great Have fun putting the miles on it before you let the learners loose in it

Cheers Supa, have found out that the stripes can't be done until Monday. Really need to run it in a bit over the weekend so will get it Friday without the stripes, weekend jaunt to Coventry & back, then back to dealers for a clean and stripe fitting Monday!

Wonder if they'll let me drive it out the showroom again Monday after stripes fitted?
