Heated Wing Mirros

Bit of a noob question - my other half has a 2008 Mini One 1.4 - as far as I know with no option packs, does this One of this generation come with heated mirrors?

If it has they aren't working on mine as the rear screen demists quickly but the mirrors stay frosty - but I thought the heated mirrors were standard on nearly every car these days that had electric mirrors?

The mirrors arent controlled by switching on the rear screen apparently, they come on at a certain temperature automatically.
They are currently standard on all MINIs, and come with the heated screen washer nozzles.
So if you look under the bonnet and the washer nozzles are wired up, then you should also have the mirror heating too.

Looks like we haven't got them then. It was zero degrees this morning when I was in the car and the mirros stayed frosty whilst the rear screen defrosted quite quickly. It's a 2008 model and I'm disappointed it doesn't come with them!

They were an option on my Nov 2008 MCS so I guess they won't have come as standard on a One. You can check the original spec for your car at a dealer.
