I think the Clubman was always called the R55 since there was no pre-facelift version of the car (i.e. the r56 Clubman is called the R55).
I would say that anything you read about the r56 mini (hatch) would NOT apply to the clubman (r55). Because of the extra weight of the clubman all spring rates and damping will be different.
I would like to know if mini offered the
JCW coilovers for the clubman. These would be set up perfectly - but I suspect they only did the hatch
You could try someone like KW IF they do a specific r55 "tune". Their Variant 2 or 3 coilovers are supposed to be phenomenal in terms of ability and quality.
