BOV aka. Blow-Off Valve? - MINI Cooper Forum

Hi again guys and gals!

As we all know R56 MCS uses turbocharger for extra boost over the MC, does it have a blow-off valve? In the mini uk website, the loading animation shows (and sounds obviously) the rev counter of the MCS. The sounds it make kinda resembles a blow-off valve when the driver leaves the throttle pedal alone. Am i correct?
If not, do any of you plan on getting a HKS ssq blow of valve for your Mk2 MCS?
I am definitely gonna buy one if it doesnt have one already.

It has one. It's right under the turbo, I think it's hiding under a hose. However, you can always get a better BOV!!

I am very very glad to hear that. Cos i love that sound bovs make. On youtube, some guys have connected an actual duck call whistle to the end of bov. You must see that vids. Thanks for the reply btw. See you around.

cool i want a new bov for my r56 too how much those things run for. and how easily is it installed?
