Superchips Tuning Box for MCS R56

Hi all,

Been looking into getting my R56 remapped and found that there are hardly any companies who can do it so far. The only place that can as far as I am aware is Superchips who offer a tuning-box which just plugs into the ECU for £499
BHP goes upto 197 and torque upto 269nm

Just wondering if anyone has one fitted or has any more info on this? Would be interested to see how it works with the sports button as well?

Cheers
Nick

Hi Guys

Was just about to post about this!

P-Torque is currently offering a Stage 1 re-map which produces 211bhp from the stock Cooper S.

We will also be offering a 230bhp package, which includes P-Torque re-map and intercooler upgrade.

Any questions, please contact me at info@p-torque.co.uk or call me on 01902 324584

Hi James

It is an actual re-map of the stock ECU, not add on module.

The start/stop button equipped models are still being looked into at the moment. All being well a solution will be available in the near future

Dear James,

I confess that I was the person who originally reported your advertising thread. Whilst it is encouraged to share tips with other MINI2.com users, your thread did have the tone of an advertisement and sales pitch, rather than that of a proud owner discussing his car. For this reason, I felt it appropriate to report your thread for investigation by the moderators.

On closer inspection, the company you were recommending had previously been banned for attempting to advertise their products themselves under various aliases (see the pit lane of recently banned members) without supporting the community through sponsorship - in direct contravention of the site rules. In order to see that MINI enthusiasts everywhere receive the best help, advice and support available for enjoying their MINIs, the site needs the sponsorship of our vendors and also from privileged members to keep everything running smoothly.

I recognise it's a learning curve and there's a fine balance between discussing work you've had done elsewhere and inadvertently promoting - but at least you'll be more aware in future.

All the best,
Andrew.

OK, as Andrew mentioned this is a company that was warned by us and then went behind our backs to continue to post. James may have gotten caught in the cross fire and I have been in discussions with him over this. I know that James is happy with this new product and there are not many options out there to date, but this company has yet to support the very forum that it wants to use to promote it. I know that we all want to share this information but you guys need to understand that without the vendor support there would be no MINI2 as the owners could not afford to pay the bills.

So, the threads have been removed that violated the rules and you can continue to discuss the products but please leave company information and links to their site out of it for now. If Paramount wants to become a sponsor please feel free to contact us and we will be more than happy to bring you into the MINI2 family and reinstate the threads that were removed.
