Honestly theres not much you can do for more power in a ONE. The 1st Gen was great as it was a Cooper but with a retarded ECU so unlocking it was a sinch plus more power but clever BMW changed the engine to a 1.4 so not much can be done between them. If it was me i wouldn't bother with the remap on a ONE as you wont get much gain from £300+. Your best bet is to put an exhaust and air filter on it to give yourself the impression your going faster through noise. One thing i would look into is a Sprint Booster but dont pay full price as it is around £200.

New mini ones are 1.4 i didnt know that. As said above not much you can do and any thing you do other than a remap you dad will proberly see or hear .
My advice is play with the suspension make it sound nice have fun in twisty bits, you dont need power to have fun and be fast unless you have had it you wont miss it .

Totally agree. If you haven't had it theres nothing to miss. Its nice to have the speed but when its far out of reach its nice to focus on hadling and looks.

yeh yeh thanks for comments, my cousin tried a sprint booster but didnt notice barely any difference so got rid of that, i dont want the car to be noisy jus some extra power so it cant keep up with the astras and shitreons i drive with on straights at all, granted they are 1.6 and 1.8s

I think you'll find its the other way. You'll find the biggest gain on a Cooper S, in fact it is that good its a little too responsive and makes you almost shunt people in slow traffic. The Cooper and One on the other hand are not quite as good but you should still notice a small difference. And this guy is asking about a ONE not a Cooper S.

The simplest way is to add a performance air filter. Generaly thay improve sound and give an improved response. In terms of more power - maybe 1-2bhp realistically!!!

If you are dead set on tunning then i would look at getting a custom exhaust and get it with tail pipes simlair to stock so its not so noticable, decat (just remember youl have to swap for the orginal ar mot time) , Airfilter And then remap just to add numbers up.
You are proberly looking around 800 plus for that but you should see a small diffrence maybe about 10-15 bhp.
You could always in addtion to that go get a cam fitted you are proberly looking at around 400 ish fitted, seems to be around this price for the s cant imagine the one being much dffrent.
And also an aftermarket manifold to but again anything from £300 to £600 depending on the quality you want.
You would proberly spend in region of about £2000 for the whole lot and proberly see around a 30 bhp gain.
