Jcw tuning kit remap & intercooler advice

Helo there, I have a 2008 mini cooper s with the jcw tuning kit on it. I'm thinking about getting it remapped as well as upgrading the intercooler and filters. Just wondering on the remap, should they use a cooper s remap or jcw factory remap and if the jcw remap will the engine cope. Also what parts do I need to change to make the engine the same as a factory John cooper works,
Thanx ash

A aftermarket remap will remove your JCW tuning kit ECU file parameters, and your chosen remap specialist will adjust different ECU file parameters, to suit your vehicle and your aftermarket components (intercooler etc etc etc)

To have the same engine as a JCW, you'll need the following components:

Turbo.

Exhaust manifold, but as you've got the JCW tuning kit, you've already got this!

Catalytic converter down pipe.

Pistons.

MAF/map sensors.

Hi

Speak to GRS about an intercooler they know there stuff.
You can change the filter to something like a itg or k&n of put a CAI intake system in from alta.
Also upgrade the turbo bleed off valve or the spring alta do the springs. I am not shore about the valves have Hurd a few conflicting things.
I would get your self a heat shield for your turbo as well a few people are making them now
Depending who you get to do the remap When they remap it they will Use you jcw map you all ready have as a base line and tweak from there. or
They normaly have a basic map for your car and tweak it to suit and give you the maximum safe power

Alternative fuel injectors can be sourced, but you'll not need any, unless your aiming for 300+hp and to achieve that, you'll need knowledge and understanding of the components necessary and the Big money to fund such a project.

A de-cat pipe on it's will loose you some low down rpm torque, and cause you to have a CEL, as for hp gain, you'll not see much gain, without a tune, even then don't expect too much, maybe as much as 8-10hp! and roughly the same in torque too.
