Australia Exhaust Resonator removal

Hello everyone,

I'm thinking of removing the front muffler/resonator (not the cat) from the exhaust of my R56 JCW and replacing it with straight pipe to get a louder sound from the exhaust plus more crackle. Anyone got any comments, will this need a chip re-map, will it possibly cause error lights, will it make the exhaust sound noticebly louder or would it make it more buzzy/rattly? Does it have any noticable effect on acceleration/power? No problems with roadworthiness, S.Aust. is pretty slack- no annual roadworthiness checks- could almost get away without any mufler!

Cheers!

Deleting the resonator will give you more noise with no warning lights but at high speeds ie on motorways you will get drone noise which quickly will get annoying
