Delivery - Early , OnTime or Late?

Wondering for people who have got their factory works whether they arrived before or after expected date or bang on.

Just thinking if demand lower than expected due to economy perhaps cars were pushed forward and arrived earlier - wishful thinking i guess!

Keen to hear what others have experienced / are experiencing

Thanks

Tobes

They're normally pretty much on time.... When your spec is submitted you get assigned a build slot - with a build week. This then goes into spec lock (where you can no longer change your spec) and a build date and chassis number are assigned.

From the build date, the dealer knows the rough date the car will arrive with them (takes usually 8-15 days depending on location), then a couple of days for PDI and fitting any dealer accessories, then collection

Always seems like an eternity though when you're waiting for your new toy

Mine was built two weeks earlier than the build slot i had requested, which is annoying as it now has two weeks longer to sit out in the elements in my dealers field!

Just had this update from my dealer

"The status has now changed to week 40 build date and expected week 41. Going by how some of our new cars have been coming through lately I would still be hopeful of the car coming a little earlier, I would say worse case scenario the first week of October for delivery to us."

Is the dealers confidence of an earlier delivery well placed? Ill go and check when week 41 actually is

Cheers

Tobes
