Remap will take it up to 250 - 270 bhp (from P-Torque)
Intercooler - 10 bhp
Total de cat - 10 bhp (not road legal)

Thats about it, the exhaust system is spot on the factory JCW so changing that wont see any performance gain.

I didn't know a remap would take my JCW to that!

Would the standard transmission cope with that?

no its not.

exactly the same box, the only difference is the e-diff. However all 2009 cooper s's now come with the e-diff standard so same as the JCW. the part number on the box is the same bar the last letter signifying the e-diff

i looked into this when i was deciding between the 2 cars.

i'm still sceptical of running the little 1.6 turbo up to those figures.

Not according to my dealer, motoring file and MINI, The gearbox and clutch has been uprated to deal with the extra power. However the the engine mods where done by the ///M division but the running gear by BMW.

I did talk to will at P-Torque and he assured me this amount of power was fine.

Don't be. I have been writing tuning software for 6 years, and to date have never had 1 turbo or engine issue. Thats gospel.

I have a reputation to keep, so everything that leaves my workshop has been tried, tested and perfected.

Hi,

I'm thinking of the BOV adaptor aswell on my JCW, early post i read it affect the limb mode? may i ask what is this? what will it do to the car? changing bov it is up to everyones opinion however bov will allow less lag in the turbo when changing the gears..

Limp mode means the ECU thinks something is amiss and only allows the car to run with limited power.
