United-Kingdom jcw 17" wheels verses 18" wheels?

I need some help here.I just got my factory jcw which came with 17" wheels - 205/45/17.
Im thinking of 18"-205/40/18.But my question is will this effect the ride and handling adversly?
My last mini was a cooper s works and the 18" s on that ,i thought made the ride a little unstable.
Is it better to stick with the factory set up?
let me know please...thx

i have 18's on my R56 and there not as bad as they were when fitted to an R53.

you wonl;t notice a huge difference depending on which wheel you go for. But do remember brake clearance on the front with the 4 pots. OEM 18's tend to need spacers to clear the calipers.

I never bothered with the KDS / Steering limiter and no matter what it has never rubbed the arch lining or anything else in 18k miles of driving.

If you opt for the 18's, make sure you get the Bridgestone RE050 tyres, they are very impressive for a run flat

In essence yes. The wheels are one of the few that will clear your brakes. The dealer recommends the KDS alignment and a steering limiter.

It's a Mini Adventure.

I love my 18's the ride is a bit harsh but I can put up with that knowing how stunning they make my MINI look !
