Smile The story of my R56 JCW (Updated 18/03/09)

The story so far:

1) The Handover- The only non factory mods at this where the steering wheel and gear knob

2) Then came the vipers and de chromed belt line (Kyote Graphics) of and the JCW Scoop

3) I became aware of a product called Plasti Dip and proceeded to de chrome 99% of the car.

4) Performance- Went for a P-Torque remap to take power up 268bhp

5) Fade to black- Alloys powder coated in gloss black. EDIT: Also upgraded the tyres to non run flats in form of some Vredestein Sessanta

And Now:

FIN

..... To be continued

Yep you sure do, the people that do it our site sponsors (P-Torque). I will admit that is was cold on the day of the run so that could add a few on but I would say no less then 260bhp.

Edit: It was 220bhp standard

I want to know more about the remap - do you have any other modifications?

What torque are you pulling, and at what engine speeds?

No doubt you're over the moon with your MINI. I'm impressed by how much you gained from 'just' a remap. Any other engine mods? Those black R112s look awesome!

Always a pleasure to see someone being so passionate about his MINI.

Your car is very nice, good choice.
I'm looking to put vred. tyres on my car too, however I couldn't find the right tyre size.
I have JCW polished 18's, any ideas where I can get them and how much they are?
My friend had them on his Golf GTI and he did not stop talking about how good they were!

Liv.

Try cam skill (google it).

What I did was go a bit wider, from 205 to 215 so the reduction in profile was very minimal (mm) from 45 to 40 (these numbers are a percentage of your width)
