Heavy oil usage

My car uses 1.2 litres or oil every 620 miles.


Mini say this is border line heavy usage and that they'll do nothing.


Have to to my car up with oil every month.

So to everyone out there check ure oil!

Hi ya

It Does sound heavy it could be a few thing causing it
But if I was you get a leak down test carried out make shore the rings and valves are ok.
Then invest in a catch tank, the turbo acts as a hover and coupled with the PCV system you will loose oil though the inlet track, which also causes a carbon problem, the catch tank if installed right will reduce this then you can monitor the oil consumption.

Make sure you are using the proper recommend oil brand and weight.
Many have seen consumption problems because of using an inferior oil type / weight.
