I'm looking at 2 2008 JCW's to purchase, see links below.
Obviously one has higher km's than the other, but is there anything to look out for between the two.
Which looks like the better buy ??
I am looking at the cars this week.
Thanks
John

Not only is this a factory JCW rather than a Cooper S with the dealer fit tuning kit, it is the lower mileage car. The optional specs seem to be about the same at a glance... not sure if that makes the white one cheap or the blue one expensive?
But for the difference in price, the more expensive car is worth it for the JCW extras (bumpers, skirts, wheels etc.) not to mention the far, far lower mileage.
You mean when you drive the white. If you don't really want one don't drive it. I walked away from mine 3 times...in the same afternoon. The fourth time I test drove it and purchased it when we returned to the dealer.
Once the finance is sorted on the seller's side, I will be providing a cheque to purchase the car.
Went great, a bit more poke than I remember from a cooper I hired a few years ago and a lot smoother than a friends many 1275 ls mini clubman's from the 70's.
It's getting it's 20000 km service this week before I pick it up so will be able to go over the log books before I hand over the cheque.
Probably need some new front tyres soon though. Any recommendations either for or against on the tyres?
Ive got Pepper White, I dont normally think much to white cars but the MINI pepper white is more a cream solid looking white, like a bit of Jersey Gold Top, great taste, and Ive not had any black looks so far
I upgraded from a Cooper S to a JCW in January this year, and it was the best decision I ever made.
My advice is go for the factory JCW. It has stronger pistons, valves etc. The S with the JCW kit, has the 175 BHP engine, upgraded to 192BHP with the kit, where the factory works has the 211BHP engine.
You won't regret buying the JCW, they are great fun, and driving down the road with the windows open you can really enjoy the great sound from the exhaust.
