Tyres - Can I...?

Morning

I picked up my 58 plate JCW yesterday and super pleased.

However, I know I need to put some new tyres on it and I'm now looking for guidance / opinion. It has Pireli PZero run flat 205/40/18's on it.

Research would suggest switching to non-run flat tyres for better handling etc, however my question is, can I move to 215 over 205 and can I go up to 45 rather than 40 - to give more comfort and choice?

Thoughts?

All the best, Nick

I replaced all the 205/45/17 Pirelli Runflat tyres on my MINI with Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 215/40/17 non runflats (near same overall diameter) with no problems.
You can use internet tyre calculators to see change in diameter, etc.

You can plus-size to 215/40-18 but not 215/45-18.

Thanks guys.

Been trying to find the Goodyear F1's but they don't do them in the 205 or 215 options for 40/18.

Any others to recommend from experience? Looking at £150 a corner or under.

Cheers, Nick

Think I'm going to buy 4 of these: DUNLOP 215/40R18 89W SP SPORT 01

Anyone got them on? Advices please.

Cheers, Nick
