JCW Dash checkered flag

is the new 2013 JCW supposed to have the checkered badge on the dash? we just picked up our 2013 JCW and it doesent have one. Its on the ones in the pics of the brocure, but it was from 2012. also, the engine has a JCW badge on it, which i dont think is on the 2012's. i know its a small issue but that damn badge missing is bothering me.

Mines a May 2012, doesnt have the engine badge but has the flag on the dash, so looks like theyve swopped the flag for the badge then.
Are you worried people might not recognise it as a JCW without the flag or something??

Bit awkward to admire the engine badge as youre driving along I suppose.

True but ive felt the flag badge was added as a afterthought doesnt look anything special

Im not bothered about the badge on the dash or engine, as long as its is what its supposed to be what the heck badges only add unnecessary weight anyway.
