JCW Auto

Hi Everyone,

Does anybody know whether Mini have pulled the Auto box option for the JCW Hatch (or any other JCW for that matter) ?

I've just been on the car configurator and the option to add an auto box seems to have vanished. Not sure whether Mini are playing about with the site or whether they've pulled the option.

Before anyone says 'why would you want that'.....well I spend a good chunk of time stuck in London traffic so auto's are a god send......plus i'm lazy

If anybody knows I'd be grateful.

Cheers
Ryan

Must be an update of the site as the Auto is coming soon on the hatch or any JCW

It will shift faster than the manual

Depends what your needs are really, if it wasn't for 80% of my driving being in heavy traffic then I'd agree.

Performance wise there's not much in it. My missus has an auto S and it'll keep up with a manual S all day long, plus playing with the paddle gives you a 'little' flexibility.

For ragging it to death then no I wouldn't have an auto, but after shelling out £30k i'm not going to cane the back-side out of it everyday either, so it should be fine

Now I just need to find out why the option was there on the site a week or so ago, and now it's not

Yes it was there a couple of weeks ago, now no mention as you say.
Maybe no one ever bothered to order one? or its not up to the job?
