That's cold js, just plain cold!!!!!!!

But a bit of warning, please remember that these are meant to draw us, the prospective future BWM owners, into the fold and this is an entry level RC so expect some rattles and trips back to the dealer. LOL

BTW, Smokey, I have discovered one tiny little rock chip in my windshield, already. We're talking head of a pin size. My insurance will pay to have those fixed, so I'm thinking of doing it as a preventative measure.

I'll be making a trip down to Century soon to take care of a few things. The rattles I fixed myself.

See ya,
JS

Thanks mininc,

Enjoyed meeting you aswell. Driving my mini has been a HOOT. I haven't even come close to 4500 rpms, so don't worry. Don't really need to. The car has plenty of spunk. A whole lot quicker than my 72' Beetle convertible to say the least .

Welcome to MINI2, Debiw. We have an active group here in the Charlotte area, and I hope you'll join us when we have some activities.

I read your profile and see you're getting your MINI in August, right? And it's solid black? Sure will be pretty.

My office is on Park Road and I drive a Chili Red/White MCS with stripes, so if you see me out and about, be sure and say hello.

Where did you order your MINI?

See ya,
JS

Hi JS,

Thanks for the welcome--I can not wait until this cooper arrives. I have been hooked for quite awhile on this car. I went out to Vegas in May and rented an S for a week. I drove all of the fantastic roads out there and a week later I sold my SUV on Ebay and called Flow to put my order in. I thought I would have to wait until November, but I was called two weeks later to see if I wanted one now.

I have probably seen you around, because I have seen a red a few times once on Ballantyne Commons and again on 485 around Providence Road.

I live in Ballantyne and drive a turquoise Z3 and purple M3. Be sure to wave if you see me.

Count me in on joining you all for some fun.

Cheers,
Debi

Isn't it time we did something in the Greenville Area again?
How about a ride in the NC/SC mountains?
Lots of nice curves up there.

Debi

I too used to live in that area. Franklin to be precise.

Now reside just outside of Asheville. We had hoped to put together a rally/run to coincide with the big Belle Chere festival here at the end of July but Hotel costs and short time frame dashed those hopes. We are trying to get an August event planned.

Of course we will let everyone know of our efforts and be on the lookout for upcoming M2C2 events.

I'm open for a gaggle of minis wanting to rip up these great mountain roads on short notice though...........

It sounds like you have no shortage of fun cars, already.
I've never seen a purple M3 that I can remember. I'll keep an eye out for you and flash my lights if I see you.

Now I'm curious what made you choose an all black MINI, since your other cars are so colorful.

I think those of us here in Charlotte should get together for lunch every now and then. It'd be fun. Charlotte Area MINI Addiction Support Group.

See ya,

I've always liked black cars and have mostly had black cars. They are challenging to take care of, but that's what I love.

It's funny the Z3 started out silver then black and then every other color. I finally put my top three choices in a bowl and drew turquoise. The M3 started out black. We we're getting ready to go in to the office to do up the contract and there sat the techno violet underneath all the lights on the showroom floor--I immediately stated that I had to have that one.

This time I've decided to just stick to black. My garage is getting too colorfull

I'm just off the phone with Smokey 4 and we're planning a dinner in Asheville within a couple of weeks. Stay tuned to this board to find out when and where.

One thing we'll be doing at the dinner -- in addition to meeting fellow MINI owners in this area -- will be discussing future group activities: Drives in the mountains, etc.

Check back often; we'll post here as soon as we get the dinner plans -- and event plans -- finalized.
