Offline | Italian Job events for Carolina MINIs Hi everyone, If there are any MINI owners in the Carolinas that are planning a meet for the Italian Job, you should contact Jan Black, Director of Marketing for Eastern Federal Corporation. I recently spoke to her about the group that will be meeting for the movie in the Raleigh/Durham area. She would like to hear from other MINI owners that are planning similar events in other regions of the Carolinas. At this point, the Eastern Federal doesn't have anything specific in mind; the "event" could be something as simple as displaying the MINIs across the front of your theatre but could evolve into something more elaborate as more MINI owners express interest in the event. In the meantime, if anyone has any "glamor shots" of their MINI, feel free to send her a copy. There's a possibility that the photos could be used in their monthly newsletter and/or in local marketing materials. Her email address is: jblack@easternfederal.com |

Offline | Eastern Federal is a movie theater chain -- much like Carmike (barf) and General Cinema. I've always felt they had way above-average theaters, and do a good job. Chip H. ex-MINI Cooper S owner and all around good-guy |

Offline | Regal is OK too - they were a customer of mine at a previous job. Quality-wise, they're about like a General Cinema. None of the chains can stand up to one of our local independent theaters - they have great sound, and the print isn't scratched up (like at your typical multiplex). Plus they serve beer. ![]() Chip H. ex-MINI Cooper S owner and all around good-guy |

Offline | Actually, Mission Valley. But the same applies to the Rialto and the Colony - all owned by the same guy. The big difference is that the employees who work there *really love movies*. Haven't heard of the Madstone - where's that? Chip H. ex-MINI Cooper S owner and all around good-guy |

Offline | oh yeah, I forgot about Mission Valley. Their sound system is top notch. Madstone is over in Cary behind Cary Towne Center. Previously, it was called Imperial 6. It shut down a few years ago and reopened last year as an independent theater. Madstone Theater website The place is a magnet for MINIs. We've seen at least 5 MINIs there as well as 2 original MINIs. |
