Offline | m2c2 Dinner Event Scheduled - July 24th Come join the Mini Motoring Club of the Carolinas (m2c2) for a causal evening of dinning and fun. You are cordially invited to attend the soon to be monthly dinner event of the Mini Motoring Club of the Carolinas, Western Chapter. The process has started, the logos designed, the By-Laws approved now all we need are the members! This is a great way to check out what m2c2 is all about. If you haven’t registered for the club yet, you can do so that evening. It’s only $25. Later in the year we will be having “Member Only” events – so you don’t want to miss out on the fun!! The Chapter covering the Western part of NC and SC is planning a meet and greet dinner on July 24th at the Tijuana Junction located in South Asheville, at 6:30 p.m. All are invited to attend and enjoy what m2c2.org is all about, the social interaction amongst friends, be they mini owners or future owners. Tijuana Junction is conveniently located at the corner of Hwy 25 and Hwy 280, just 3 miles East of I-26, Exit 9 (Airport Exit). Please RSVP here or email my direct at smokey4@roadfly.org if you’re planning on coming. Thanks ![]() |

Info here It has been lots of fun in the past and should be again this year. Sorry to hear that moorlockx, I spent a few years (7 really)in Fayetteville and always enjoyed an excuse to head too the Mountains, or just get out of Fayetteville! (only joking) And of course George you're always welcome. ![]() Last edited by Smokey 4 : Jul 18th, 2003 at 12:46 AM. |

(only joking)<<< No joke needed! This is definitely a town that makes you want to get away! My main problem is that I'd have to close the store for a day to go. It's really unfeasible to do this as that makes it a very expensive dinner! ![]() -- '03 S B/W |

Offline | I understand moorlockx, I'm sure that in the future we'll have a meet and greet down a bit closer to your side of the State. How many mini owners have you met down there? ![]() Last edited by Smokey 4 : Jul 21st, 2003 at 09:14 PM. |

Offline | mininc-- Let me know when you leave Greenville and I'll join your convoy on US25 south of Flat Rock. That's assuming my MINI's back from the body shop by then. Otherwise, I'll just skulk into the restaurant parking lot in an old Camry! LJ |

Offline | Well, the plan's changed. I've got a friend who'll cover the store that day so, weather permitting, count me in. I'll actually get in the area an hour or 2 early. Anyone going to meet early? Any suggestions as to how to kill some time would be welcome? Like maybe a carwash to clean up a bit before dinner? Haven't been to that area before and don't know what's around. -- '03 S B/W |

Offline | Sounds great moorlockx. Which way are you planning on coming? North then West or South then West? If you plan on coming in on I-40 west, PM me and I'll give you a little "detour" route that will let you experience why the mini fits into the mountains of NC so perfectly. I'll even join you for an impromptu trip down to Chimney Rock and Lake Lure then on to Dinner. To answer your next question we currently have 10 miniacs signed up and we're expecting a few more to join in. If anyone else wants a tour of the area (read that as an invite to turn gas into noise and rubber into highway scuffs) let me know. I'm "this close" in being convinced to take Thursday off completely and do a little mountain caravan. As for car washes there is a self-service and a few automatic style ones nearby. ![]() |

Spent a couple days in the mountains of Pa. a couple weeks ago. This should be as much fun! >>As for car washes there is a self-service and a few automatic style ones nearby.<< Self service would be just fine to knock the road dust off! ![]() -- '03 S B/W |

Offline | CUTiger -- We’re sorry you can’t make it to this dinner, but hope that another will fit better with your schedule. The MINI Motoring Club of the Carolinas is just getting up and running, though it’s already sponsored some events and has more coming: A Charlotte “Italian Job” opening; the upcoming detailing seminar in Charlotte and the MINI Driving School at Lowe’s Motor Speedway, again in -- I hate to say it -- Charlotte. The club -- m2c2 for short -- covers both Carolinas, but will be member-driven from the bottom up. The meeting Thursday is to meet and greet other MINI owners (or fans), but also to find out what sort of events people want to see in the S.C. upstate/western N.C. area. Other regional chapters are getting started, too, so watch for events from the Columbia, Raleigh/Winston-Salem, Charleston and Charlotte areas. And check back for an announcements the club web site that we hope to have running very soon. LJ in NC |
