Offline | All British show in Flat Rock N.C. Well folks I hate to say it but fall is around the corner.Who is thinking about Autumn in the mountains in Flat Rock N.C.,Sept 27? Here is my plan. This is a overnight trip.Leave Saturday morning, meet at Cracker Barrel on Strawplains Pike. 6am if you wish to eat and 7am if you don't.Leave there and drive to Flatrock. I promise I will drive slower to keep the group together. The show is from 10 to 3:30 and then a banquet at 7pm. If enough want to go I will plan a Sunday drive back. I have someplace I would like for you to see and it is in Highlands. I will need to map this out so I need to know if enough are going. Cheers David K. |

Offline | i'm definitely interested (YAA for just joining M2C2!), as this is my first british car.... been stuck in the HONDA mentality for a while, ugh... I need some more information about it. I'm coming from Clemson, SC, so I might be able to make it back on Saturday night, seeing how it is that I'm a college student and all - money for hotel rooms all the time IS an issue!!! Speaking about that, is there a cost to register your car for the show? Thanks in advance, I'll do my best to attend one way or another!!! See you other M2C2 people at Fudruckers on the 15th! Speaking about that, is there a cost to register your car for the show?<<< Here's a link about the club organizing the event: http://webpages.charter.net/mini1000/bccwnc.html Scroll down just bit for their link to the pages about Autumn in the Mountains. >>But its not that far !!!<< Yeah, it's only about a 4 1/2 hour drive for me! They do have a MINI (as well as Mini) class for the show, but need to get at least 3 cars to register. I thought about it, but there's no way I can get the car cleaned up enough to put in the show as it's just going to get quite filthy again on the drive out there. -- '03 S B/W |

Offline | moorlockx, Thanks for the link! I checked it out, printed out all the necessary information, and MIGHT be in attendance, I'll post up on here when I find out for sure. I'll be meeting with my business partners about all these MINI related events tomorrow and find out if they're interested in coming with. Just something to point out because I'm always correcting people - check out the link of the hotel where the event will be held... at the bottom of the page.... http://www.woodfieldinn.com/ It reads: An Historic Country Inn and Restaurant PO Box 98 Flat Rock NC 28731 828-693-6016 or 800-533-6016 AN HISTORIC?!?! Its not like 'AN HOUR...' Oh well, just tell me to shut up already!! haha!! Offline | Well, rats! I'm going to have to miss this one. I can't get anyone to cover the store that day and the bank account tells me that it would be unwise to close down for the day. On a good note, I did get a spot in the M2C2 driving school the preceding week and was successful in finding some one to work for me then! Yippeee!!! ![]() -- '03 S B/W |

Offline | Hi Smokey, I'll be there with a smile on my face! The only downside I've got to it is that I have to go out and buy a pair of real shoes! Other than work boots,I have only owned sandals for the past 12 or 15 years..... and they're not allowed!-- '03 S B/W |

Offline | Sorry for the delay moorlockx, just now back in town. We had 5 cars there that "showed" and a few owners had their cars out in the parking lot. Lots of questions from interested people and NO issues with the "older" crowd. From the comments of the Club Pres I think this was the biggest number of cars they've had at this event. If my memory serves me correctly, we had 165 cars on display, with the largest numbers belonging to the Jag and MGB folks. See you at the Euro! ![]() |
