Count me in. Kershaw is a blast, and February should be pretty great weather.

To those coming from a long distance, or looking to stay overnight, there aren't a lot of close hotels.

noticed that this same topic is on MCO, but i'll post here since there are more replies to it here....

I'll start working on contacting one of the proprietors i know who came to speak at a Clemson SAE event about a year ago.... can't find his contact info off hand, so its going to take a little bit of searching to find it - but it might be well worth it, since he talked to me for a while after his speech, and told me to contact him about going up there for driving school or anything....

but for sure, i'll be able to attend this one, i'll mark the whole month of february off if i have to! by then, lets see.... new wheels / tires, a rack of engine mods, and maybe even a full stereo to go with the race interior.... lets just say, hope everyone's in for a real treat!!!!

see you all there! also, if anyone in the DC Metro Area is going to be around or doing anything for the week of thanksgiving, make sure you check out THIS post i just made!

Just a quick update. At the last M2C2 club meeting (last weekend), I was tasked with helping organize the school. I haven't been able to contact John yet, but plan to today and get a heads up as to what is going on.

So hang tight for a few more days and then look for an update of some sort.

Howdy everyone,

Who was it that said "silence is golden"?

I've been away from the forums for some time, and I figured I had better drop in and say something before you fine folks filed a missing person report on me.

My free time has recently become extremely limited due to several projects I am working on, and I am not going to be able to organize this event.

My original message was to guage the level of interest in a Feb. driving school, and it certainly looks like there is enough interest. I noticed the post from TravisW, and hopefully he can take on organizing this driving school with the help of other M2C2 members. TravisW, feel free to contact me with any questions you might have at john@m2c2.org.

Hanging tight.....but still need time to plan for this. Any info would be of assistance, most importantly, right now, is a tentative date.

Have you got any ideas yet as to when the track is available?

Actually, now I have some information. Still not much, but some.

The next open date at Carolina Motorsports Park is April 10-11. We can't get the track for just a Saturday, so we can (have to) do a two day school. I have the price for the track rental, but I have to find out if we are also responsible for an EMT crew (I think we are) and I don't have a price for that yet.

I'm trying to contact the club President to discuss this a little more.
