Offline | M2C2.Org Feb Driving School Many people who attended the driving school and many who missed our recent driving school have been asking, "When is the next event?". I want to get some feedback from you about the possibility of a February driving school in Kershaw, SC. I realize some of you from the frozen north must think I've lost my mind, but the average temp in Kershaw, SC in February is in the 50's. If we get lucky, we could have a 60+ degree day. That's why they call us the South. It should make for a very comfortable driving day, and those with superchargers will appreciate the cooler, denser air.I spoke with Mike Renner, our lead driving instructor, yesterday. He stated that the track time on weekends gets booked very early and all of the weekends were booked for early spring. There was one weekend in May, but it's on Mother's Day, so that won't work. The track at Kershaw is much bigger--over 2 miles long. You can see the track here: http://www.carolinamotorsportspark.com The surrounding amenities are a little more sparse, but the track will be more of a challenge and it will provide for more track time. One of the most requested changes for another driving school was more one-on-one time with instructors in the car. For a small increase in the price of the school, we can add two to three more instructors. I really need some feedback, so that I can let Mike know, and so we can book the track before this slot is lost. Talk to me. See ya, John Stines Treasurer, M2C2.Org |

Offline | M2C2 February Driving School The MINI Motoring Club of the Carolinas just completed a fantastic driving school at Lowes Motor Speedway outside of Charlotte, NC. We had close to 50 MINIs attend. We are contemplating a February driving school in Kershaw, SC (avg temps in the 50's), but we need your feedback. Please see the post below: http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthrea...377#post528377 Thanks, John Stines Treasurer, M2C2.Org |

Offline | I'm in the metropolitan Washington DC area so it's a bit of a hike. However, I was disappointed that I wasn't able to make the Lowe's event last week and am interested in honing my driving skills. So, that said, I'm interested. ![]() |

Offline | John, I also agree with MiniTiger. More one-on-one instructor time would be great. I don't see that an additional charge would be out of line, as long as the class size remains the same. Also, ask AprilWhime to combine the two threads that you have going. It will be easier to follow. paddy ![]() "We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail..." -- President George W. Offline | Pencil me in for this, too. It's been debatable, but it's too tempting to pass on. John, any idea when you might be able to give us a heads up as to which weekend and cost? -- '03 S B/W |

Offline | Kathleen, that's awesome you're getting an '04 MINI!! I enjoyed chatting with you and your father in Charlotte .I felt I had very little instruction at the Sept event, so I agree more one-on-one time with an instructor would be great. - Mike 08 Smart ForTwo Passion Silver/Black/Red (Going on Ebay!) 07 Honda Accord V6 6-speed Taffeta White/Tan (wife's) 06 MINI Cooper S JCW Checkmate Astro Black/Silver ![]() |

| VIdeo Game Master | I've been to CMP twice now and it's a very fun track. This one part of the track they call the kink can be unerving the first time you go through but after that you will find your self going faster and faster through it. Count me in for the event. 03 LY/B MCS |
