Offline | Details? You want details? Okay: About 55 cars left Century’s parking lot in Greenville, S.C., more-or-less on time after talking and eating the food the dealership had catered in the MINI showroom. The roads we drove up into the mountains -- many of the same ones we’ve used before -- were full of motorcycles and classic cars also out enjoying the fine weather. People seemed happy to see the long line of MINIs. We again took over the parking lot at Caesar’s Head State Park to enjoy the box lunch Cen-tury provided. After a lot of eating and talking, Linda Gresham (the dealership manager) and Century gave away a lot of MINI-related prizes -- thanks again, Century. After that, most people took off for home, though a lot stayed around to talk in the park. Even the weather cooperated; not too hot/cold, light cloud cover to cut the glare, no rain, etc. I met a lot of people and enjoyed seeing old friends I’d missed over the winter months. I really appreciate the effort that Century MINI puts into making this happen. I think getting to know other MINI owners in the area enhances the MINI experience. |

Offline | Hi, I don't have my own MINI but my husband was at the Century rally. He is Roadodendron on the forums - just got his MINI 2 days before the rally! I wish I could have gone too but I had to make up work for taking off Friday to go down to Charleston w/ him to pick up the new baby! I put up some pics I took of the car, in my gallery here. Hope to see some of you all at future rallys - right now I am really busy finishing grad. school. |
