Offline | Raleigh drive and lunch April 3rd - now w/ info!! oops Posted by MiniTiger on MCO (nam): So, about a lunch and drive on Saturday April 3rd. We can get together and see whose going to Tail of the Dragon and discuss a mini-rally on the way over to the Dragon. Last year, for Tail of the Dragon, Bill Koff and MiniShuttle and I took a great drive on the way to Fontana area from Boone, NC. MiniShuttle (presently relocated to CO) and I had found an hour long loop or so in southwest Wake into Chatham/Orange county we could drive. It's not mountainous, but there are some winding roads and you can take a photo of your car in front of "Cooper's Barber Shop" Suggest meeting at Spark's in Apex Peakway Plaza (Hwy 55 and Olive Chapel Road) 10:00am Meet 10:15 drive (Stops at Jordan Lake Dam, Bynum 12:00pm Return to Spark's for lunch and discuss May trip Tail of Dragon -- '03 S B/W Last edited by moorlockx : Mar 20th, 2004 at 10:59 PM. |

Offline | I'd like to see a few more adding in myself. Not too long ago there were some folks in the area wanting to do something like this. Hope they catch the announcements. -- '03 S B/W |

Offline | Sign me up. Took delivery of my MCS last weekend and am halfway through the break-in. Would love to motor with other Miniacs... haven't seen too many out here. I'm also interested in the Dragon, a caravan out there sounds cool. |

| MINI2 Regular | Hi Lee, We'll have to follow your lead on way back to Apex from northwest of Jordan Lake area. Follow link to proposed route. http://bellsouthpwp.net/c/s/csuich/W...am_Orange2.jpg (If you have Internet Explorer, hold cursor over map until the expand picture icon appears in the bottom right.) The route would start in Apex and go clockwise. It looks like we got nice small group going so far MiniTiger (NAM: Mini03Tiger84) mininc moorlockx suprcupr (NAM) Lee L audioman Chris S. | MINI2 Regular | Thanks to all that attended and special thanks to George (mininc) and his son Austin who drove in from Charlotte. We had a beautiful day for a drive. No incidents, but the local bicyclers added a new element to the twisy Bynum Ridge Road. Good thing MINI's stay in their lanes. Thanks to Austin for keeping the MINIs shiney and clean at every stop. See ya'll over the next few weeks of MINI events '03 LY/B MCS |
