Offline | I have a unique situation. I am a Marine stationed in Hawaii, and currently deployed to Iraq. When I left Hawaii, my wife decided to go home to Tennessee to stay with her family while I am away. We also decided that we would trade our truck in for a Mini, so she went to the Hawaii dealership and turned in the keys to our vehicle. On the 22nd of March, she ordered a fully loaded Pepper White Cooper S to be delivered to the Nashville dealership. They gave her an approximate delivery date of May 31st. Well, according to the Owners Lounge, our Mini left the distribution center on the 2nd of June en route to the Nashville dealer. Today being the 15th, I would imagine that the car has had plenty of time to be trucked on over and given its final blessing from the powers that be and is ready to pick up. Unfortunately, we still haven't heard anything from the dealer in either Hawaii or Nashville. So, I was wondering if anyone who has taken delivery in Nashville has had the same problem with excessive wait time. I know that it isn't going to matter to me, since I won't be able to drive it for a while anyway, but still I am excited about knowing that I am going to own the coolest car around. Its fun to daydream about cruising around with my wife in the passenger seat, just driving for hours to nowhere in particular. Also, we were wondering if there are any Mini owners clubs in the Nashville (Cookeville particularly) area that we can get on a mailing list for. Thanks for any replies. Meanwhile, we'll be waiting. |

Offline | Have you called the dealership? I'd definitely call. It should be there by now. Mine took less than a week to get all the way to Texas from the South Carolina VPC. Congrats on your choice of a PW MCS, by the way! And be sure to have your wife post photos once she's taken delivery! ![]() ![]() Look at that little S car go! [Sold 2/06] |
