CHANGE: Meet on SUNDAY the 16th at 12:30pm

Just wanted to inform you that we will be having a MINI meet on Sunday the 16th at 12:30pm at Fuddruckers on 290 ( 13010 Northwest Freeway, between Bingle & Hollister on the North side of 290). We will be discussing the formation on the MINI Club of Houston.

Hi Louis... I should have my mini by then and should be able to make it by there for the meet.

Here is my story quick as I posted in another thread in the cooper s forum here...

I've wanted a new MCS since I first saw one. I was not in a position to order one or I would have, so I waited until I was ready. 2 weeks ago at the Houston Auto Show I convinced the wife that I could get the kids in the back of a Mini and it was time to trade in the 94 BMW 530ti. I called the Houston Dealer and they had 6 MCS on the lot and 1 more at the Auto show which was at the Momo display booth all for sale at MSRP. After calling Moritz in Dallas and discussing their stock of S's (5 in stock at MSRP) I put a $500 deposit on the DS/W car at the auto show. The dealer got his DS/W car back from the show on Monday as well as the other Minis that had been at the Show which he didn't know he was getting. He let me move my deposit over to a DS/B MCS with the blue/black leather which was exactly what I wanted. The car should be ready for delivery on Wednesday or Thursday and I can't wait. No extra's, no gimmics, no hidden charges. The dealer even suggested I wait for aftermarket racing lights for the front since he didn't care for the factory mounting brackets. I can't wait for my MCS... anyday now.

I Like that combo my self. Mine is a Indi Blue/White with bonnett stripes and Lapse Blue Interior.

I love the blue... and the red... and the... well I like them all. I think deciding on the color was the hardest part.

Yep Andres has been very up front and helpful over the past two weeks. He took the wife and I out on the track behind Momentum on Saturday and threw the demo around the track and I couldn't believe how well it handled.

I hope to take delivery Tomorrow or Thursday... I'm just waiting for the car to be transferred into their computer system for processing.

I ran into a Mini driver sunday at the grocery store who lives in my neighborhood. I'm not sure if he visits this forum but I know he posts on Roadfly. If I see him around (or on the board) I'll tell him about the Mini meet on the 15th.

Yes Yes Yes!!! I am glad to hear of this meeting andI plan to be there. I live in MidTown and drive my Cooper everywhere spreading the joys of motoring. I lost count of the number of times I have been asked what car and where I got it. Looking forward to meeting y'all and contributing. I picked my red/white Cooper in Dec and love it. Andres was very helpful.

I would definitely like to attend, would be nice to meet other MINI enthusiants I'll definitely know later in the week if I can come.

BTW we are having a Meet tommorrow Saturday 3:30PM at Uptown Park by the Galleria.
