My wife and I are just waiting to fly to Baton Rouge, La in late Feb early March to receive the latest addition to our famliy, (dark silver MCS white top). We diddent know if we actually had to own our car allready in order to become members, or if we could join being perspective owners? How do we start, where do we go, who do we call?

I don't think there's a club out there that requires you to own a mini to participate and be a member. If you're referring to AMO, check out their web site: http://drive.to/amo and it says something to that effect.

There are a few of our Arizona Mini Owners Club members who do not own Minis, and a few that joined before they purchased one just to learn more about Minis before they bought one.

Heck, I think we still have several members who own classic Minis that don't run, but we don't hold that against them!
