Hello everybody! Today I mentioned All MINI Track Day to a young lady after I handed her keys to her new MINI. She chuckled and asked me….why in the world would I want to do such a thing. I will be the first to admit that this is not for everybody, as with a MINI Cooper itself. This really got me to thinking and perhaps I have not really explained what this event is all about that great. So I will explain here, Texas World Speedway has had more then a few Legendary Racers run on it. People like A.J. Foyt, Peter Reveson, Richard Petty, Jack Brabham, Mario Andretti, and Mark Donahue just to name a few. All this on a 2.9 Road Course, with on and off Camber Turns, elevation changes, and a half mile straightaway. This is the longest, fastest road course in TEXAS! www.promini.com Will have 2 project MINI’s, and $600.oo worth of give away items. (list to come later!). Not to mention you could win a ride in Blue Thunder a 243hp MINI, or Silver Sonic a 287hp MINI. Both PROMINI Project MINI’s.. If you win a ride in either you had better hang on because you will be sitting just to the right of a SCCA licensed Race Car Driver. Tire Rack has sent me 2 duffle bags, a wind breaker, and a few hats, to give away as well.
This is a High Speed Driver Education, and you will learn in a safe, controlled environment

I almost forgot to mention that Terry and Debbie Sayther will also be there to join you in some fun, plus you have got to see their set up. Terry and Debbie will pull up in Schmutzie their over 200hp Electric Blue MINI, with a cool little tear drop trailer full of good ole Alta Performance products that you can purchase at the track. (I say Good Ole Alta because I have a bunch of Alta goodies on my 03 MINI Cooper S, that I bought from Terry Sayther Auto!) If you do not exactly know how you want to modify you’re MINI, Terry and Debbie both will be alongside Schmutzie to give you all the advice you need. I would love to go, but I will likely be the youngest one in attendance. I am 17 years young and would be rather shy around much older motorers...notwithstanding, count me in.

Dont let the fact that you are 17 keep you from going! I am only 33.......Darn that means I am a old fart to you....HaHa! I had one guy that was a Senior in High School that went to the last one. You will fit in just fine, David pretty much just hung out with everyone. Well, he hung out with the group that I hung out with at least! In fact he comes into the dealership to just hang out everyonce and a while! We will all respect what you are doing. Its great to see a young guy that knows that he does not know everything. After all... when all MINI people are asked how old they are, the tell their age and think.........darn i only feel and look like I am 21. Dont let age hold you back you are welcome to join us, I will just need to talk to you on the phone first!
