Hi, everybody,

This is a last minute ITN Rally Reminder. Saturday, April 7, 2007, at
11AM at Waller Park in Santa Maria, registration will open for ANGELS
CROWN 2007. The first car will leave Start at 1:01PM and should arrive
at the Finish at Chili's in Paso Robles about 9:45PM.

This is one of the most scenically beautiful courses in a long time.
Not only are the wildflowers in bloom on much of the course, but so are
the orchards of fruit trees. The course itself traverses some
supremely quaint towns, and the roads themselves are remarkably European in
character. Most roads, as usual, are of the open, sweeping variety, with
a few twistier parts thrown in here and there for punctuation.

For our four wheeling friends, there will be an alternate, unpaved
Course Control 3, which will take you through about 14 miles of hills and
woodlands. It's very smooth and well maintained and lots of fun to
drive.

Rallymaster Justin Murphy, along with David Budlong and an excellent
group of checkout cars, have come up with a very interesting and exciting
rally. A flyer with more complete details, and a map with directions
to Registration in Santa Maria, are up on the website at
Welcome to ITN Rallye Club Home Page. Click on EVENTS on the left or bottom toolbars. Please shoot us an
email right away (if you haven't already) if you want to be there.
Also, please forward this email to anyone else you think might be
interested. It looks like we're going to have a very good turnout. We could
use a few more people to help work the event, so if your partner has to
go to Grandma's house or something, come on up and work a Rally
Control. If you haven't done it before, we'll put you with an experienced
captain, and you can see how rallies are put together from the inside out.

The routes and maps will be posted this week on the home page, not
later than Wednesday, so you can download them in .pdf format and do all
your homework before the event. Anyone can get them, so, even if you
don't think you can make it, download them anyway. Maybe after you look
through them, you'll decide that you must, truly must BE THERE!

We hope you'll come and join us for a picturesque and challenging
afternoon and evening enjoying the best that Central California's roads have
to offer.

See you at Standoff.

Carzero

hope to see ya'll there

TOTAL RECALL
6 hour Starlite style Monte Carlo navigational Road Rally.
Start Santa Clarita. Finish tba.
This rally is a special pre-warmup warmup for Starlite.
There will be a free, full introductory class for beginning Navigators.
If you have any interest in running Starlite this year, you should be at this event.

from what I hear "Starlite" as run by the Santa Barbara Sports Car Club is a more straight forwards Monte Carlo Rally. Kinda ITN-Lite. should be a good event to get your Road Rally feet wet.

Registration/Start:

Placerita Canyon Natural Area
19152 Placerita Canyon Rd.
Santa Clarita, CA 91321

Take I-5 to the 14 freeway and go north on 14.
Take the 2nd exit (Placerita Canyon).
Turn right at the end of the offramp.
Go about 1.3 miles east on Placerita.
Watch carefully for the right turn into
Placerita Canyon Natural Area.
Please park legally.
From the unpaved lot take the footbridge to the picnic area under the
oak trees. Look for black on yellow "ITN" signs.
This is a shaded location down in a canyon.
Even in scorching heat, it's quite comfortable.
We suggest you get fuel, and either bring lunch or have it before you
get to Start.

Reg opens 2pm
Navigator School starts 2:30pm (DON'T BE LATE!)
First Car Out 5:01pm
First Car to Finish 11:00pm (approx.)

Call 310 350 1360 for more information.

the Rally will be $10 per team for all classes.

is up on the website at itnrally.org. Click on "events" on the left or
bottom toolbar.

Registration and school for the rally will be at the Placerita Canyon
Natural Area. This is about 1 mile east of the 14 FWY on Placerita
Canyon Rd. Placerita is the 2nd exit north of I-5. The picnic area where
we'll have the school is in very deep shade and should be cool
regardless of the weather.

Registration will open at 2pm, the the school from 2:30 to 4:30, and
the first car will leave start at 5:01pm.

The rally will finish about 11pm in the Grapevine or Lebec area. As
has been the case with our last few events, scores will be announced
within about 10 minutes after the last car to arrive at Finish turns in
their control card.

The rally itself is very much in the Starlite style of things. All
Checkpoints will be visible from their respective Standoffs. All
Checkpoints will be active (no Passage Controls). There will be no more than 2
Standoffs at a single location.

The legs are long and the roads are wide open. Make your plans now to
come out and enjoy the best roads Caltrans has to offer, which are
pretty damn good, let me tell you. Preregistration is not required, but if
you can, please reply to this email or call 310 350 1360 to let us know
you're coming, or if you have any questions.

See you at Standoff.
