MINI Cross Country Trip

Hey, how is everyone? I'm new on here but looking for some information. I'm about to graduate from Navy flight school at the end of April and get reassigned to Whidbey Island, Washington to continue my training. And to get there I'm going to be taking my MINI Cooper S from Florida across the southwest to California and then north to Washington. Just wondering if anyone knew of good sites, roads, MINI events that I should try to hit up on my way there. Hope to hear back from some of ya!

How long do you plan to take? The hubby and I drove my GP from pick up in Monterey CA back home to VA in three days. Not much time for rose smelling on that trip!

Planning on at least a week. Going to depend on whether or not I have to stay in California for a few days for Navy Centerfuge Training. Thats where they put me in a little cubicle and swing me around in circles wicked fast to see how many G's I can pull .

What's your time frame? AMVIV is coming up on the 22nd of March, but that's in Vegas.

After that. I'll graduate on April 27th and probably won't start driving till mid May, early June. Know of anything in that time frame?

It's a bit out of your way, but one of the big US events is MINIs on Top in NH. Third Saturday in June I think.

I tried to go to that two years ago when I went to college in Vermont.....but finals got in the way I bet its a great time.

West Coast MINIs is planning a San Diego to Cambria run along the coast in mid june.

I think there's a couple of runs planned by So Cal MINI Maniacs, but I no longer have access to the "planning" calendar.

hmmm....I'm actually going to be driving though San Diego about then maybe. I have to go there for Navy survival training for two weeks. Damm hope I can make that. Do I have to RSVP or can I just show up?
