Hi there SoCal Mini2'ers! I was wondering if any of you are going to the Long Beach premiere of The Italian Job? I think it was invite-only and don't want to hurt any feelings, so will not divulge details of who is sponsoring it, etc. It's on the 29th of this month, though, and I'd love to get a chance to meet up with any of you if you're going. My wife and I (and of course the Cooper!) will be there, looking forward to meeting some of you!

I got the invitation, but I won't be going. I was able to go to the Paramount one last night, and my wife is scheduled to get her wisdom teeth removed on the day of the LB premiere, so the LB one isn't much of an option. Have fun though, it's a good movier, and I'm sure it will be a fun event.

That's cool, I'm glad you got to go to the one last night. It looked like much fun for all. Too bad it was sold out when I called, but the one down here will make up for it.

P.S. Oh when u registered on that e-link thing did u get a comfirmation? I never received a confirmation how do I know they will have tickets for me?

I actually didn't receive a confirmation right then, but over the weekend Alli emailed everyone who had RSVP'd. You might try emailing her if you haven't heard anything yet.

oh... i didnt get the right then and there confirmation but i did get the e-mail one and plus I stopped by and got an oil change and asked them and its all good to go!

Ohhh...change in thread topic in that case. What mileage were you at when you got your oil changed, and what did they charge you? Thanks! Glad you got the tickets sorted out too...

Ummm 1471.. and they charged me $57.xx forget the change on that hehe... they're cool about it. I told them I wanted an oil change and made sure they didnt reset my counter for the 10K mantaniance and surely they didnt... took them 30 mins. so i just hung out there and chatted with tony and alli. I figured $57 heck... i'll spend like $30 on oil and $8 on filter and bunch of work and time just let them do it hehe

Planning on getting an oil change? what milage are u at? I'll probably do another at 6000 miles since this is a car that i'm planning to keep FOREVER

I, too, considered the 1200 mile (or thereabouts) oil change, but am far past. I'm at about 4000 now, and was thinking of maybe doing it at 5000 then at the standard 10,000, as, like you said, this is the car I plan to keep forever. I was thinking of doing it myself, but saving time and frustration is well worth the $57.

Over the weekend I put clear side repeaters on...they look damn hot! Highly recommended...well worth my $35 and 5 minutes labor. Pictures to come soon...in a new thread of course.

Oh... my dad (Simon) is going to be going alone... My sister has to goto a school performace so if any of you guys want to say hi to him or keep him a little company let me know. Look for my car its a Electric Blue Wite Top plate is "EBMCS"
