Has anyone placed a custom build order Cooper S with them? Any problems with shipping? Not a penny extra except for shipping to so cal? I am giving them some thought; refuse to pay $2-3 over msrp for S here in CA. Looking for satisfied customer referral.

I spoke to them about ordering and yes, they claim an 8 week delivery at MSRP. Shipping to SoCa though is not part of the price. You have to arrange for that. So, it will still run at $1K to $1500 to have it arrive at your door. I'm also checking other dealers that might be a little closer and thus less expensive to ship.

I bought my MCS from them, but:

A) I picked it up in person
B) It was new, on their lot

Man, I think I'll have to spend all Saturday morning calling every Mini dealership in the US and ask them three questions:

1) How much over sticker are you charging?
2) How long is the wait for a Mini Cooper S?
3) Do you ship to Los Angeles?
