Well i wouldnt say he doesnt know what hes talking bout... but i whenever i talked to him he never gives me details... like tries to just tell me the general info, like soon soon soon or not yet... we cant tell exactlly how far u are on the list etc etc basically tells me useless information. but Tony tells the truth. and lets me know everything. like my exact positon on the list, the exact number of allocations they got and prob will get, and a more realistic time i was able to order. Dave's one of "the dudes" the helpers... they dont do much real decision making.. just entertain people that walk in and tell people what options and what to do if they want to order... unless his position moved up but.... eh.... i dunno.

you dont have to call at the end of the month... they dont know... just ask the front desk for Tony and then talk to him directly... they wont know u called before...

If you have been following this thread you know my story and the whining and complaining I've been doing. I took UCS's advice and called today and asked to talk to Tony at Long Beach ---- it took a couple of tries he is busy! He did tell me that depending on allocation if they get more than ten cars I could order this month!! If not next for sure! He should know end of this week or begining of next. Stay tuned!!

Good news I ordered my MCS today!!!!! I called Long Beach to see if they got there allocation and they got it today. I can't believe it! It will be here in Febuary.

NICE!!!!! thats sooo cool... todays a good day for everyone I guess... hehehe I had a good day too... Havent had a fun good day in a while... was invited to an early thanksgiving dinner with some friends before we all go home to have our family thanksgiving dinner and it was a lot of fun, had a pool table and all.

Tell your Wife I said Happy Birthday... I'll have to formally meet her again in Feb...

For another Long Beach Mini story:

Put my name on the MSRP list for a MCS in February.

Began checking in with them on where my name was in September (maybe October).

Sent a series of configurations and some email including pictures of the 1972 Mini I had in Spain to Anthony.

Got a call today (Nov 28) from Anthony with my build number, delivery in February. One year, just as estimated...

I am a happy camper. Except for the MSRP going up by $450 after January. Sigh...

Well I have been checking MINI USA everynight and it went from the default MINI to my actual MINI. I think I will hold off on the alarm for now because of money and install the chrome grill myself. I will keep you updated.
