Could it really be.... Who else has bought a "S" from Long Beach

When I went on my MINI safarie In the LA jungle back in April, I put my name on the list at Long Beach as a backup knowing it was a 12 month wait just to order. Figureing I would get my car sooner out of state for msrp I still checked in every month as recomended. This month I got a surprise the guy told me to fax them my spec sheet next month or in october. I don't want to get my hopes up but, does that mean I will be able to order in less than the 12 month ETA? Anyone else experience this from Long Beach who ordered an "S"? If so how soon was it? He also said I was getting real close. Thanks in advance

I too went the out of state route. I originally placed my order through Long Beach. Before that I was going to go with Nick Alexander except even with my $25K MC, they still wanted to charge me $1,500 on top of sticker. With Long Beach, they told me to fax my spec sheet right away, even though they said I wouldn't likely get a spot on the list for another 3 to 4 months. I waited 2 months, then discovered Roadshow MINI is Memphis. I got my order in the same day I called them. So now I'm going to pick up my car after 2 months of anticipation with Roadshow on Sept. 3! I would say if you want your car, go out of state!! Plus you can take a nice road trip back!!

Hummm April to Oct. that could be it... they say 12 months but i dont think its that long anymore now... Its been out for a while and many ppl drop out of the list. I guess u are getting lucky...

When i got on the list July 2002 they said it would be 6 to 8 months... and it was really 8 months... i would have had to wait till march to order the car. but then I won the Christmas raffel and got to order my car in January!! 2 months earlier.. so that was nice.

Fax in your order and ask them when u can order your car. see what they say. they did take my spec sheet earlier too just to put in file even when i wasnt able to order like in september.

Hahaha Hey travis... I totally understand... How they contact me? Lets see... it was Jan 4th... My wait was not up yet.. I was suppose to wait till Feb before I can actually place my order insane especially since i got on the list July 8th 2002. BUT

If any of you remembered that Long Beach during Christmas had a Christmas Raffle for a spot and early order for 1 cooper and 1 cooper s. The winners get to order their MINIs right away during the month of Januay. to get a raffle u have to spend $10 at their MINI store. every $10 u get 1 rafffle and so i went in there and bought $160 worth of goods... which came out to be 16 tix... hehe and of course the drawing was the day after christmas and the winner would be contacted... and i called the next day and Andrea told me that i didnt win but she said she was totally cheering for me during the drawing and was sad that i didnt get it. So oh well so much for that... but wait i;m not finish. heheh

So Jan 4th comes... Dave calls me and tells me i won the raffle and I'm like what? I didnt care I was happy and confused but didnt want to ask too many questons cuz he said i can order my car... heck. but after confirming my specs i asked why. and he told me the the first winner didnt reply back after a week even after multiple attempts to contact him so they re-drew and I won! so i got to order my car 1 to 2 months earlier...

Thats my story... well i would say call and ask... ask when they will get u your production number... talk to tony hes the one that deals with all the orders... not anthony.... but Tony.

Hopefully what i said made sense.. its 2 am my brain works half way and i'm laying in bed in the dark typing

Oh the agony of it all!! That is a pretty awsome story. Talk about lucky. I bet when the person figured they lost out they were kicking themselves pretty hard. O.k. then I shall try to call them tomorrow or friday. Thanks for the response and stay tuned to the same bat time same bat channel.

hahahahahah. Yes I did notice hahahahaha. It all depeneds on how busy I am at work. even the miss's wants me to call and she is only luke warm about this car. My boss has said when the car arrives I can take the day off to go to the coast or Magic Mountain as long as I take him with me. Playing hooky with the boss---- thats wierd.

Hey UCSD, what a funy day. I'm working in Tehachapi today and I finish my job and me and this trainee I had with me go to the park to eat lunch. We are in the cab munching away and talking then coming in our direction comes this EB/W MCS! this town is the size of about 10,000. I wave as he drives by and he waves back and it even gets better. He flips a U and pulls in behind my truck. I jumped and went to talk to him ( I think I scarred him). We talked for a little bit come to find out he didn't know about the rally, MINI2.com, or about Bridger USA. He seemed intrested and might show up at the rally. Then I got back in the truck and told my trainee its a sign (everyone at work knows how finactical I am). With that I called Long Beach and...... was let down. They told me there alloctaion for this month was low and now it looks like it won't be untile Jan.-Feb. AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH CCCCCCCCRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm comming unglued.

I hope so. I read on Bridger USA they cut back production to do some factory mods I guess for the convertabels. I wonder if Bell View has any openings
