Question where to go for 10K miles service

hi i'm new to SoCal. moved down here from SF bay area a month ago, and my cooper is almost due for the 10K service. i live in alhambra, about 10 miles east of downtown LA. of all the dealers in this area, where do you suggest that i take my cooper to? if you have any experience in terms of taking your car in for service with any of these dealers, please share this SoCal newbie.

thanks a million!

Long Beach MINI has been pretty good but that might be a drive for you. The people are friendly and helpful but if you want a free rental you'll have to whine a bit.

Trust not the heart of a man for whom old clothes, and the Mini, are not venerable!

Whatever you do, don't take it to Assael, they are the pits.

Irvine Mini is also great, but also a bit of a drive for you. Where do you work?

thank you for the great advise. i was just about to call up assael to make an appointment, but i don't think i will take my car there now, especially after seeing the other thread about their poor service. i llive in alhambra and work in downtown LA, so both irvine and long beach are quite far. are there any other decent dealers closer?

Nick Alexander is in downtown somewhere, you could try him. I've heard neither good nor bad about him, so at least it's an even shot

I just finished my first service at Universal City Mini. Great service at the BMW dealer4ship with a new Mini store across the street. If you can, make an appointment, they are busy.

Took mine to Long Beach also, it's where I bought anyway. Didn't have any problem. They even offered to take me to work and pick me up.

Friend of mine took his IB/W MCS to Nick, they also offered the shuttle service.

Still other friends have gone to Crevier in Santa Ana. They've been given beemers as as loaners.

ponte trucha

I will probably go to Long Beach as well. Irvine is where I purchased the car, and I haven't been 100% satisfied w/ them. That's not to say that they've been horrible or anything (*cough Assael Mini cough cough*) but I hear enough good things about Long Beach to warrant giving them a try
