Where to find Wheels in SoCal?

OK, so i've finally decided to do it. Upgrade from 15" to 16" wheels!
Contemplating the aftermarket route thanks to Miniac's awesome thread:
http://www.mini2.com/forum/wheels-tyres-brakes/35500-aftermarket-wheel-gallery.html

So i'd like to know where i can actually see/purchase them in person.
(Real picky...just like everyone else on this forum..)

Would like to buy from a sponsor, but me thinks s/h will kill this idea w/ tires & all.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks Everyone

looks like there's lots of great places to check out.
Should we start a pole for MINI wheel pricing/selection?

I've heard good things about the wheel warehouse also...another really cool place for wheels is Super Autobacs in Stanton by Knotts berry farm. They have a big selection of wheels and they all usually come with tires.

Agree on the prices, service was something to be desired (scarey sketchy). But felt happy with everything once I recieved my order.

Wheel Warehouse has nice large pix online....wish they had prices too.
Super Autobacs seems to have a lot of goods. Sadly no prices online either.
-both within driving distance though

After I paid, I seemed to get the run-around. Nobody knew anything and I thought I lost my money. "Vic," my salesman seemed to talk in circles and it fueled my speculation. Finally got my wheels a week overdue, with hardware that I didn't know I needed in order to fit.

It all came out good in the end and I'm very pleased. I'll reccomend them for their prices, but warn you of their service, more customer relations.

BTW, to my mistake, this Discount Tire is NOT part of the national chain.

Ahh...so that's it.
With a lot of these places, one wonders if anyone knows what they're talking about or if they just want to sell you more stuff. The Discount Tire near me is also not part of the national chain and is quite shady...don't think i'll trust them farther than i can throw a MINI; or SUV for that matter.

I had my own slightly less than satisfactory dealings with TireRack earlier last week.
But that's for yet another post...

Glad to hear it all worked out in the end
Is that where you got the Volk GT-C?

Talking

mmmmm volks... I also wanted to add that I did go to check out some rims along with a friend of mine at wheel warehouse a whiiiiile back. after waiting for about 1/2 an hour for anyone to acknowledge our exsistance we went up to the counter and stood behind an attractive girl who was talking to the salesman. once she left so did his smile and cheerful mood. i know to be nice and to never to tick off the guy behind the counter (i.e. restaurants, spitting in food, etc.) so we politely asked about rims (not mentioning how long we waited) and this guy (don't remember his name) was being a complete jerk. who knows, maybe she didn't want to give him her # or something but they just lost out on 2 potential buyers, i'll never go there again.

(had to edit my bad language )
