Offline | I'm talking to the guts from .. www.atovation.net thet make the best pedals for MINI that i've sen yet. They have a MINI specific pedal set (including the deadpedal) now..but I want a rectangualr/square stlye like the show for the audi..they told me they will develpo a set fo me for an extra cost. .check out the site. I think you will be impressed. If your intersted in a custom set of the "audi" style...let me know and I'll try to negotiate a "group buy" |

| TEAM MIGHTY MINIZ | Hm. They look pretty cool, with the Audi ones besting the MINI ones. I don't really like any of the logo choices for the MINI pedals. Logo overkill. You think they would be interested in making something that better mimicked the MINI OEM look, but with the pedal shapes of their MINI kit? |

Offline | I didnt like the logos either. I'm not real fond of the MINI shape pedals.. so I'm asking them to do them for me in a different shape. I think you can order thier regular MINI pedals without a logo..if that's what you mean. They quoted me $40/hour extra on top of the purchase price for custon work. So I imagine that if you told them exactly what finish/style you want..that they could do it. |

| TEAM MIGHTY MINIZ | Hm. Sounds good. Those Audi-style pedals definitely look cool. What would the price come up to for the pedals you want? Hey, I'm gonna be going back up to the canyons on Saturday. I'm likely going to do Yerba Buena Rd, but I'm not sure in which direction. I just got my Escort Solo S2 radar detector, so I'm eager to test it out! Let me know if you wanna run and we'll meet up. I'll note waypoints while I'm there so we can use my route as a future run. |

Offline | I'm still waiting from them to give my a price..I'm thinking around $150 or so..I hope it's not too much more than that. I think they will be worth it..and they would be one of a kind..so that's good. I think I gotta chill with my girlfriend this weekend..so I dont think I can make it. It that changes..I'll email you and maybe we could try out a new run. Either way..let us know how your radar detector works out..I gotta get one of those things. |

| TEAM MIGHTY MINIZ | KDOG: All good. Yerba Buena supposedly isn't too patrolled, but I guess I'll find out. It's so remote out there that there likely won't be any false alarms, so it'll be good to test the efficacy. The price on those pedals sounds pretty reasonable. I'm gonna give heel-and-toe another try with the stock ones this weekend and see if I can't coax a few good downshifts out of them under hard braking. Richard: Almost done with the full-length? =D Can't wait! |

Offline | Ha ha!!! Full length is done! I've got a few more tweaks to do. So please give me some feedback. The first 20 minutes or so, is us making our way up the mountain. The best stuff happens in the last 20 minutes (mostly Randy tailing me--but also shots of the whole group). I normally would have omitted or reduced the first 20 minutes, cause it's less interesting (more interesting if you were one of the drivers cause you might see yourself there!) to the general audience I think. I guess what do you think is the max length of this video? Should I limit it to the most action packed stuff at around 30 minutes, or just let it run and let the viewer skip what they want? LOL It'll have chapter points so it's easy to jump forward and back. I'd appreciate any thoughts on this. Richard |

Offline | Sunday. GREAT! We will have a large group. Several Porsches, and some special friends. We'll be meeting on the Inland side of the canyons...Info Here Read the details, it has the time and place. If you want to do your canyoning early, Pre 10AM, make this your destination, then do it again, or hang out and admire the cars. See ya there! -Doug |

| TEAM MIGHTY MINIZ | Personally, I think the whole run should be put in there, as the first part felt like a pack of bulldogs had just chewed through their leashes. Plus, we'll get to see at least some residual dust from Zeede's offroad excursion. Then again, during that first leg, Astra and I pulled away from the rest of the pack once I passed KDOG, so you missed our antics. You could always have your abridged version as the main run, and have the Latigo portion as a Special Feature. =D That would definitely be cool. |

Offline | Perfect! That works well enough. In the first part of the run, I was in the middle, so I got the first 4 cars--I was 1 car behind Zeede just as he went offroad. Actually I think you were in front of me in the Indi Blue S, right? I saw you desparately trying to pass Zeede--and he was hogging the road! LOL Richard |

| SCMM.org member | I would like to have a record of the whole run, and as IDIAZ pointed out.. we took off pretty quickly at the beginning... mostly you will probably just see our dust... ; )... I just came back from that area.. got bored drove up to Port Hueneme and then hit Mullholland Highway back to Stunt Road... they are still shooting the movie.. in other interesting news.. they were doing more work on Tuna Canyon on the one way part.. I think I scared the road crew //// came down at them pretty fast.. he he 11/03 BRG/Wht MCS |

Offline | Ahh it would be great if next time we had cameras on the first and last car..to try and get all the action.. Richard..I just meant that I did soldered the diode on my brakelight circuit to activate my rear fogs when I hit the brake. I still havnt opted to fill the toggle switch void cause I dont much care about rear fogs..and yes..from what I understand the factory rear fog option only activates the drivers side light..curious since there is a bulb on each side..wierd huh? maybe we are missinformed on that one..it doesnt make any sence to me. But.. additional visability of the brakes now is outstanding. I cant see why everyone doesnt do this. |

Offline | Thanks KDog. Your feedback and iDiaz are very helpful. I want nothing more than to make sure you guys who are on the run are cool with it. Btw, iDiaz it does start from the meeting point, to me driving like a mad man to catch up with you guys on PCH. =) I had some technical problems on the first part of the run. I didn't realize it until the Scenic overview stop that my receiver battery was weak. So the picture quality wasn't the best on the first half. But whereever there is good footage, that will take priority over picture quality, atleast for the this version. |

Offline | Re: Cameras Yes, that would rock!! But then who would want to be the last car?? I'd always be trying to get to the front! Re: brake mod Thanks for that clarification. I think I misread your email. I thought you said it was the best $195 you spent, as opposed to $1.95, so I was confused. So you soldered it huh? Should have asked me first. =) Greatbear who posted the original soldered diode mode posted a simpler less intrusive one. I documented on my littleMINI.us site along with my own pix. Eaily added or removed if you're worrried about warranty issues. =) |

Offline | Well folks the DVD is out. I've sent a copy to all the drivers except for Andy, who I've lost his mailing address again! Everyone should have it by the end of the week. Please post your comments when you have time. Thanks!!! OctaneGuy |
