My Pink Mini!

Howdy All!

I posted about a year ago - I purchased a pure silver mini from Universal City Mini that I wanted to get painted pink and was looking for some SoCal recommendations. Well, I went ahead and did it. On a recommendation from a friend, I used "Cinema Vehicle Services" in Van Nuys, CA - they do a lot of work for the Entertainment Industry. It wasn't inexpensive by a long shot, but they did an AMAZING job, and the color match was perfect. It took about two weeks, as they had to basically take the car apart and put it back together again to get a factory-paint quality job.

I've attached pictures, hopefully they'll show up...

Cheers,
sm

Thumbs up Now that's PINK

Wow I've seen some custom paint jobs on a lot of cars and this is only the second pink one that I've seen, first on a Mini. It looks like they did a nice job painting the car, no over spray that I can see. I hope the new paint holds up for you. Nice pictures and post.

Pretty different.

That's actually a nice shade of pink. Although I dread to say that with some of the "comedians" on here.

Now, are you getting a custom interior to match?

Thanks!

The place I got it done was a recommendation from a friend who's worked in Transpo for TV/film stuff forvever, so I sort of lucked out in that a) I had seen a TON of their work and b) they were close. (Oh and c) they did an awesome job!)

Cheers,

Thank you! I don't know about the custom interior. I'm going with baby steps.

I could just see your MINI being the "pink cousin" of Mini Cruiser's yellow MINI:

Yup, that's what I thought too - a smaller version of a powder pink Cadillac

I can just see Marilyn Monroe stepping out of it, wearing matching pink heels.

The funny thing is that I initially considered buying a new Ford T-Bird and doing the same thing, but I loved the Mini way too much.

s'mistress,

I never thought I'd say this, but that is one nice looking pink MINI. I think the black roof & the chrome kit make it work.

Great job. I'd heard of cinemavehicles before--nice to know they do good work for the "'public" too.
