Squeaky Suspension

just in the last few days I have had a continious squeaking noise coming from the rear passenger side of my car, even the slightest bump on the road causes the suspension to squeak I have Eibach Lowering springs and 18" Alloys and have never had any problems before, any ideas what might be causing the problem

Sounds similar to what I had back in '04...

Take it to your dealer

You probably need new shocks to go with the Eibach lowering. I know Maaij personally, he had the same problem as you describe. He fitted Bilstein shocks and now the noise is gone.

The shocks are used in an erea in which they were not designed for because of the lower Eibach springs.

Update: I have Eibachs on my MCS and no squeeking, Sport+ suspension of the MCS has different shocks then the One and Cooper.

Also sounds like a problem I have in my MCSC. Started just before Xmas, I dropped it into the dealers who seemed to have sorted it. However, it's recently started to come back.......

Dont you have a cooper S exhaust fitted? Is it held by a bracket of some sort at the left hand side? Could it be the left hand silencer moving about or is it definitely the suspension?

good call Peter, went and had the suspension all checked today and everything was fine, turns out one of the hangers has come loose on the exhaust causing it to knock against the car thus causing the squeaking Should have everything fixed this time tomorrow
